The Steward Dashboard is your go-to place for managing all the pages you're responsible for as a content steward. Here's how you can find and use it:

How to Access the Dashboard

Use your Cornell NetID to log into the WordPress site where your pages are hosted. Once you are logged in, you should see your Dashboard. The Compliance Status widget on the WordPress Dashboard provides a quick overview of critical content issues, helping stewards prioritize their tasks effectively.

Dashboard Widget

Upon logging into WordPress, the Compliance Status widget displays key metrics in two areas:

Critically Non-Compliant Pages:

  • A list of pages that are out of compliance and require immediate action
  • Examples include overdue reviews, broken links, accessibility violations, or outdated content that may harm the website’s quality or usability
  • Action Tip: Click on the page name within the widget to navigate directly to its edit screen and begin resolving issues

Due for Review:

  • Pages approaching their review deadline. It signifies that a review is required to remain in compliance
  • Prioritize these pages to prevent them from becoming critically non-compliant

What You Can Do from the Steward Dashboard

  • Track review due dates and compliance status
  • Launch a page review
  • Use quick links to open pages directly in edit mode

How the Dashboard Widget Helps

  • Quick Prioritization: Highlights the most pressing content issues immediately upon login, saving time and effort
  • Governance at a Glance: Provides an at-a-glance view of your governance responsibilities without having to navigate away from the Dashboard
  • Efficiency and Actionable Links: Includes direct links to flagged pages, enabling stewards to take immediate action
  • Visual Cues: Color-coded indicators (e.g., red for critically non-compliant pages and yellow for due-for-review pages) make it easy to identify and prioritize tasks at a glance

Proactive Steps

Regularly monitoring the Compliance Status widget ensures pages are reviewed promptly. This reduces the risk of non-compliance and ensures the website remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with governance standards.
